We presented Maha Sahloul’s poster at Frontiers in Optics + Laser Science (FiO LS 2026), Optica’s annual meeting, held in Rochester, New York, from 27 September to 1 October 2026.

At the meeting Fatih Toy caught up with Kaan Akşit, our co-author on the augmented-reality microscopy paper, who was recognised at FiO as one of the 2026 Optica Fellows, and with Işınsu Baylam Toker, a laser physicist at Cal Poly and a 2019 Optica Ambassador.
